  The atmosphere is pleasant, the people seem genuine and the church services are thought provoking. I have visited MANY churches in my life. Some you go in and you can't wait to leave. Others you get the impression that people don't really want you there. Still others the facilities are nice on the outside and the people are friendly but the preacher did not really say anything. Bethel Baptist is not like those churches. At Bethel, I feel loved and I come out of service with a better understanding of what God desires for me.

  Great church serving the local Wilson community! Not many churches these days have the courage to stick with the old time religion and preach the truth of God in love; this church does and it's wonderfully refreshing. Here you will find beautiful hymns of the faith sung in the traditional way and informed preaching from the Authorized King James Bible. They are focused on the salvation of souls by faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ by God's grace. They're also focused on discipleship, because once you're saved you need to grow! What better place than Bethel Baptist Church? Highly recommend!

  At Bethel Baptist Church, you will be challenged by the Word of God by being presented with the clear presentation of God's plan of Salvation for all of mankind. You will be taught important Bible doctrine in very clear and easy to understand terms. I can usually tell when I'm around people that are genuine and sincere, and I feel like that every time I'm around the folks of Bethel.
  
  I was grateful to see that they wholeheartedly believe the King James Bible to be the inspired Word of God for the English speaking people and that the music is very sound. I enjoy hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs every time I attend. It is a growing church that has a personal feel to it. I highly recommend this church to anyone looking for a place for their family to grow in.

  Whenever I am in the area, I always enjoy going to Bethel Baptist Church! All of the members of the congregation are very warm and welcoming. Pastor Ken Fontenot loves the Lord and he enthusiastically brings the word of God in a way that can be applied to our everyday living. Pastor Ken does a wonderful job in setting an excellent example to the youths and young people who attend Bethel Baptist . Many of the teens and younger children are now working in the church through singing in the choir, leading prayer, and reciting several Bible verses that they have all memorized. Even though the church is small in members, they have the potential to grow into a large church in the future which can have an even greater impact on bringing more souls to Christ and therefore broaden the quality of life for those within the community. If you have ever thought about going to a service there, I highly encourage you to do so!

  This little church with the great commission has always been there too encourage its members and help them with there Spiritual growth. In these times of trouble in America we need our churches to work toward that commission and not to work for a commission. Please take the time to come and visit and if your in Wilson,Nc we have a saying that Greyhound used to say only we have personalize ours "GET ON THE GREEN BUS AND LEAVE THE DRIVING TO US".
